
GREGORY S. FRANKLIN - Principal
Mr. Franklin is the principal of GREGORY S. FRANKLIN ASSOCIATES, LLC a management consulting firm providing clients with business planning, strategic communications, and organizational development counsel. Located in the Dartmouth College region of New Hampshire, GREGORY S. FRANKLIN ASSOCIATES, LLC currently employees six full time and three part time staff, and works with clients across New England and the US, as well as within New Hampshire.
Mr. Franklin's background in the communications industry includes significant experience in applying a "systems approach" to marketing and communications, an in-depth knowledge of market and media research, and applying technology to marketing and communications needs. In his practice today the majority of his work is focused on media analysis, integrated research and communications planning.
A New Hampshire native, Mr. Franklin graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1972. Following service as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Air Force from 1972-76, he held production management positions with Whitman Press until 1980, and then was director of advertising at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida while working towards an MS in marketing.
From 1981-87 he held management positions with National Aviation Underwriters (NAU) in St. Louis, MO. At NAU he was Director of Agency Development, Director of Marketing and Advertising, and Vice President Marketing. In this position, he developed an industry-leading database lead management and communications system that received national attention in Direct Marketing Magazine. When NAU was acquired by AVEMCO Corporation, he became Assistant Vice President, Group Marketing. In this position he handled special projects for AVEMCO's subsidiaries in aviation, marine and travel protection insurance.
Mr. Franklin returned to New Hampshire joining Whitman Communications Group in 1988 as head of their creative communications division, and then formed Gregory S. Franklin Associates in 1993.
